First planted on the Estate in the 1860’s, Tahbilk has the largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide including surviving vines dating back to 1927, (making them) amongst the oldest in the world. The latest in a very very long line of Estate Marsanne releases carries grapefruit zest and citrus floral aromas to a decidedly lively, mineral palate of pear, Granny Smith apple, and lemon/lime fruits. Dedicated cellaring for a further ten years from vintage will be repaid with the developement of lovely honeyed, toast, and citrus characteristics.
This wine is packed full of fresh flavours for drinking today, and is perhaps the lowest cost white wine in today’s market that is built for long-term cellaring.
