The BenRiach 22 Years old Albariza is part of BenRiach’s peated range. Originally matured in American oak casks, the whisky is then finished in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. The name ‘Albariza’ is derived from the typical white soil used for growing grapes in the production of sherry in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain. Bottled at natural colour and non chill-filtered.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Crisp candied peel holds waves of soft peach and ripe banana dusted with Demerara sugar. Delicate rounded peat smoke combines with gentle, sweet oak spices.

Taste: Dramatic peat smoke and barley compliment crisp citrus zest, white pepper and fresh ginger. Caramelised orchard fruits and dried apricots develop to a rich, grassy wood smoke finish.
