Megan’s Notes
Located in the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains, the village of Tautavel has been making wine since ancient times. This wonderfully balanced blend is definitely full-bodied, with relatively soft tannins and beautiful fruit that makes it endlessly approachable. The red and black fruit profile has some nice baking spice notes, making this a fantastic wine with roasted game, lamb, grilled veggies…anything with a concentration of flavour. Wine from Gerard Bertrand is a perennial favourite of mine….his biodynamic approach is all about respect for the growing process and the environment, and the results shine through in all his endeavours.
