Glen Elgin – Adelphi 1995
Indy Showcase Notes
When an instrument is near completion, it is a bitter-sweet moment for the luthier. As they tuck into a quick breakfast of cinnamon brioche and malted granola, they contemplate the final steps of their month long project.
The inside of the maple-wood body is still as fragrant as the day it was cut, but it’s about to be oiled with the luthier’s signature blend of walnut and lemon oil. As the customer came to pick up their new cello, the luthier shed a single salty tear, knowing that their creation will bring joy for years.
