who are whisky folk?
We all are! Whisky Folk is an inclusive club for anyone who has an interest in whisky. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or an absolute beginner to the hobby, we’re here to invite you into our passionate community.
Whisky Folk is curated and organized by Adam Bradshaw and his team of whisky specialists at The Strath. It has over 1200 members, and has been running since 2017 (formerly known as The Dram Association). In that time over a thousand different whiskies have been sampled by members. Many of which have been rated by our club too.
The club is free to join and comes with zero strings attached. Simply sign up to access a 5% discount online and in-store on our whiskies.
You’re invited to sample whiskies in-store, and of course, you will be notified about our popular tasting events. Even better, whiskies that are featured in our club get boosted to a 10% discount for all members! Sometimes we’ll even have whiskies that are only available to members.
We also invite whisky lovers to branch out, with our Seasonal Spirits. Each season a different style of spirit is highlighted with tasting events, featured bottles, and even a 5% discount on all bottles of that spirit type. Summer is agave spirits, fall is rums, winter is brandy, and spring is gin!
Based out of The Strath in Victoria BC, Whisky Folk meets regularly in person, with an emphasis on communal whisky exploration. However, you don’t need to be Victoria-based to join us, as we welcome digital members from around the world to engage with us online – especially on our YouTube channel “Drinking Out Loud“. If you ever find yourselves in our fair city, we would love to meet you in person!
